Overview

The mining project presently is not operational but has been drilled. The mine covers more than 2,500 hectares and has +10 million tons which can be mined for approximately 10 years.

The mining license is valid for ten years before renewal thereof.

Mining will be open-cast mining.

Production figures (projected extracted volumes) 15,000 – 20,000 mt per month

Manganese content from this mine differs from 25% to 35% with iron content between 12 – 18%.

Geological reports, test, analysis, programs for upgrading the material to 40% Mn content and other available.

The mine is next to a railway line named after one of the properties. The nearest port is either Koega, Port Elizabeth or Richards Bay, Kwazulu Natal and both are about 850km from the mine location in Postmasburg.

Other companies involved in mining in the region include Anglo American Group member Kumba iron ore and African Rainbow Minerals Ltd.
